Position Overview

Walmart is hiring Cashiers to operate checkout lanes and provide fast, friendly customer service at Supercenter and Neighborhood Market locations. You will scan and bag merchandise, process multiple payment types, handle returns at the service desk, and assist customers with questions about store services. No prior retail or register experience is required — Walmart provides complete cashier training.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a POS register scanning merchandise, processing cash, credit, debit, EBT, and mobile payment transactions accurately.
• Bag customer purchases efficiently using proper techniques to protect fragile items and separate chemicals from food.
• Greet every customer with a friendly welcome and thank them for shopping at Walmart upon completing checkout.
• Process returns, exchanges, and price adjustments at the customer service desk following Walmart return policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout lane including belt surface, bag supply, and promotional display areas.

Qualifications & Benefits

Must be 16+ years of age. No prior cashier or retail experience required — Walmart provides full POS training. Basic math skills and friendly customer interaction ability essential.
