Position Overview

Walmart is hiring Self-Checkout Hosts to monitor and assist customers at self-checkout stations in Supercenter and Neighborhood Market locations. You will help shoppers navigate the self-checkout interface, resolve scanning errors, approve age-restricted purchases, and maintain a welcoming presence that keeps the self-checkout area running smoothly and efficiently throughout your shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor multiple self-checkout stations simultaneously, responding to customer assistance alerts and system error prompts.
• Help customers scan difficult items, enter produce codes, apply coupons, and complete payment transactions at the kiosk.
• Approve age-restricted purchases for alcohol, tobacco, and certain OTC medications requiring associate verification.
• Troubleshoot self-checkout hardware issues including jammed receipt printers, unresponsive screens, and coin dispenser errors.
• Maintain awareness of scanning accuracy and basket-skip behaviors, addressing discrepancies professionally and per Walmart policy.
